WELCOME
WELCOME TO VERSAILLES MIDDLE SCHOOL
Dear Versailles Middle School Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I hope you have had a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to relax, recharge, and spend time with family and friends. We are excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and success at Versailles Middle School.
This school year marks my 13th year serving as a middle school administrator and my 26th year in the Versailles School District. It continues to be a privilege to work with our outstanding students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of a community that values education and works together to help every student reach their full potential.
As we begin the new school year, I am pleased to introduce Mr. Aaron Allen as our new Assistant Principal and Assistant Athletic Director. Mr. Allen brings 8 years of service to the Morgan County R-II School District and a total of 16 years of experience in education. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to student achievement, positive school culture, and educational excellence. His leadership experience, enthusiasm, and dedication to supporting students and staff will be invaluable to our school community. We are excited to welcome Mr. Allen to the VMS team.
We are also excited to welcome several outstanding educators to our middle school staff. Please join me in welcoming Patricia Yensel, who will move from 5th grade to 8th grade ELA; Stephanie Underwood, who will transition from 5th grade to 6th grade ELA; Coby Williams, who will move from high school physical education to girls' physical education; Mariah Nichols, who will serve our middle and high school students in vocal music and piano; Allison Moeller in special services; and Cheyenne Owsley as our girls' physical education paraprofessional.
Each of these individuals brings unique experiences, talents, and a passion for working with students. We are fortunate to have them joining the Versailles Middle School team.
We look forward to the positive impact they will have on our students, staff, and school community. Please help us extend a warm Tiger welcome to each of them.
At Versailles Middle School, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students are challenged academically, encouraged to grow socially and emotionally, and inspired to become responsible citizens. We believe that strong partnerships between school and home are essential to student success, and we look forward to working closely with our families throughout the year.
As the first day of school approaches, we encourage students to come ready to learn, participate, and make the most of every opportunity. Whether you are returning to Versailles Middle School or joining us for the first time, we are excited to have you as part of our school family.
Thank you for your continued support of Versailles Middle School. We look forward to a fantastic year filled with achievement, growth, and memorable experiences.
Go Tigers!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Marriott
